my toxic trait (real) is that i genuinely consider mulder ane scully above everyone else. i think little terms like “slowburn” and “will they/won’t they” are beneath them - but i also think every slowburn and will/they won’t they ship owes them everything. i think every slowburn in modern media has been somehow influenced by msr, even if unintentionally. i think they are the modern pride and prejudice as in their relationship is timeless and defines a generation. i gatekeep the term ship/shipper because they are reason that term exists. i don’t want them to have their names smashed together because they’re too good for that. i’m literally an msr supremacist and it’s NOT cute!
